The Google Shopping Campaign Program Advantages

The Google Shopping Campaign Program is really nothing more than an ad format on Google Adwords. If you've used Google Adwords before, you already know that until Google Shopping came along, it only showed text ads along with organic search results.



With the Google Shopping Campaign program, you can create product listings that will appear on Google's organic search. What are the advantages of using this ad format? If you own a website that sells physical products, you could get more visitors to your website. It's no secret that between text ads and product listings, the latter converts better. And while most people are blind to banners, people are actually drawn to products listing.

You can create product groups to facilitate making changes to the ads. The features available are very similar to the current Google AdWords program. You can for instance set a daily budget for your ads or decide on the bid strategy you want to use.

I'm not really talking about search results but more how Google has it's own shopping section where they group stores and products and show you various sites and stores that have the products that you are looking for. I find that this is a great way to find a great deal and automatically do some comparison shopping.

The Google Shopping Campaign program is still in its beta phase but it should soon become a fully developed product. If you already use Google AdWords, you should be able to switch your account to the Shopping beta and try this new program. A few adjustments still need to be made but overall this is a great tool to make your products more noticeable and more profitable.
