Facebook Ads: The Future of Advertising

By

The inception of social network have changed the very fabric of internet and online interactions. Billions of people use social networks like Facebook, Google+ and Twitter to stay in touch with their friends and followers every day. So, by virtue of the massive amount of daily page views these networks boost of, advertising professionals have realized the burgeoning potential they hold for ads.

However, no platform makes online advertising as facile and controllable as Facebook, the biggest social network on the planet. Since it launched its targeted advertising feature in 2012, it has become a go-to platform for many online advertisers because of the tremendous reach and flexibility it holds. Consequently, nearly 50% of Facebook's revenue now come from ad sales.
Here are some of the reasons Facebook is considered to be a next-gen advertising platform:

Unprecedented Popularity

No website on Earth, apart from the Google Search Engine, can boast of the amount of daily page views that Facebook receives. It has close to a whopping 1.28 billion active users. Thus allowing you to target a wide spectrum of your niche. Not to mention the enviable number of impressions your ads are going to get on a daily basis.

Cost Effective

With Facebook Ads, you only pay for the amount of clicks you receive. Setting up a viable Facebook page and getting your ads online costs $0. Also, you can create a budget for your ad and fix the amount of finances Facebook has access to. With such features, getting more viewers or customers costs only a fraction of what it would if you opt for other online marketing strategies.

Targeting Control

Facebook offers an unparalleled control over who you want your audience to be. You can fine tune your ad campaign to a very refined target viewership. For example, you can place an ad for a Spanish Language School in New York with the target audience being 14-19 year-olds who have demonstrated a penchant for learning Spanish, either by liking pages of rival schools or by enrolling there. Such level of precision allows you to get meaningful results out of your advertisements.

Facebook Blueprint

Facebook Blueprint, launched earlier this year, is an academy for anyone looking to advertise through Facebook, including marketing professionals, vendors and advertising agencies. It offers free courses on a variety of modules pertaining to Facebook advertising. These include the likes of Managing Your Ads, Purchasing Ads, Reporting and Measurement, Campaign Optimization, etc. However, it can be argued that Blueprint's content is a little too thin for many professionals with most courses taking close to 15 minutes to complete. But it warrants mentioning that no other advertising platform offers the sort of corporate e-learning regime that Facebook does.

Third Party Tools

The popularity of Facebook Ads has resulted in the emergence of countless third-party platforms that aim to make the experience of advertising on Facebook even more rewarding. Websites like Ad Espresso, offer optimization and designing services that allow you to get the most out of your ad campaigns.
In conclusion, Facebook Ads are the future of advertising and it is being reflected in the rate of adoption. According to Social Bakers, 92% of social marketers have already turned to Facebook as their main advertising platform. The numbers would only go up from here.

3 Tips for Marketing Your Message on FB and Social Media

By

  1. Since people are on FB to socialise these people are not in the best mindset to try and generate direct sales. Often it might be better to send your FB traffic to a social or news article related to your niche. This helps to spread your brand around and once they are on your site they may sign up to your email list, click affiliate links or click on your AdSense ads. But remember that not only are people more likely to go from FB to a short news article, they are also more likely to share that link rather than a link to your product. Market to their current mindset.

  2. Another crucial part of your strategy is your use of imagery. A large amount of FB users are browsing from their mobiles so make sure that your photos are sized appropriately. The images you use should convey the message that you want and should also be relevant to your audience. So if you're advertising a video games console you'll probably want to use a photo of a teenager or young adult, rather than an older man. This may seem obvious but you should look deeper into your audience and use images which are more relevant to them.

  3. Most FB users will have a couple hundred friends, like a few dozen pages and be a member of a handful of groups. So it shouldn't be a surprise that their newsfeeds are packed with a load of content from different sources. This is one of the main reasons why people say that each post you create will only reach an estimated 1% of your audience, because they have so much other content to consume. This makes it even more important to time your marketing effectively. Test out a few different posting schedules and see which perform best.
Often it can be good to post first thing in the morning around 7am, just before people eat lunch and late in the evening. These are times when people are actively on FB and constantly refreshing for new content. All you need to do is get your FB page in front of the audience and convince them to click the like button!

These tips should help to push you in the right direction but the most important thing you can do is to test and try and understand your audience. Every niche is different and you'll need to find out what works best in your niche. Check out the 6 powerful tips here...

How You Can Use Twitter for Customer Service

By

You know how people have the tendency to rant on Twitter? Be annoyed not! You can actually take this to your advantage. Take yourself as an example. Say you have a problem with your cell service and you tweet about it and tag the company's brand handle since you know they are on Twitter. And miraculously, they replied to you advising you what to do. How would you feel? It could be somewhere between being still annoyed, being thankful and being flattered. Now imagine doing that to your own customers and the way you could personally reach to them not only with promotions but with content that they actually need at that moment. Imagine the impact that would have on their loyalty and regard for your company.

The fact is, aside from companies' customer service hotlines which cannot be reached about 50 percent of the time and customer service emails, which can take ages for a reply, Twitter can be a direct and instant connection to these services. Hotlines and emails even have the irritating tendency to give endless referrals to other departments or people. But the relieving aspect is that using Twitter for customer service is becoming increasingly popular due to the convenience it offer the customers and the company as well. People can reach out to you on Twitter to either air their complaints or ask about product and service related issues. This accomplishes two basic things for you: gives you a good image to these customers, especially of you do it right and it increases your visibility even further.

So how do you do it right then? The speed at which Twitter can allow you to communicate must be used to your advantage. A customer would be very much delighted if you reply to their concerns as soon as you can, say 5 minutes? That should be your standard limit. It makes a really huge difference when you are there for their needs immediately. Additionally, you must personalize your messages to these customers. Customers would feel better if you do not send them generic replies that sometimes do not address any of their concerns. They would feel better if you cater to their needs individually, especially if you mention their real names in your Tweet. However, you must make sure not to overuse the replies! In the case of a complicated problem, the Direct Message (DM) feature on Twitter is always available. This would minimize the clutter of seeing a lot of replies that occupy most of your timeline. So you can resolve the problem with a customer in detail through DMs and then back to using replies with regular questions and support services.

The last but definitely the greatest advice on this section to help you get started on Twitter customer support is to give outstanding customer support to users who are not yet one of your customers. How great does that sound? In short, you can help people who have problems with anything related to your specialty. Think, if they have a problem with a competitor's service or product, what better way to earn a new patron than to willingly and accurately help them, right? It can't be necessarily called a piracy and you don't have to be too blatant with your goal. Just remember, the main goal is to help. You can start by answering their concern without any mention of your product or company. Just a good Samaritan willing to help. Do not immediately jump into the gap for marketing purposes since this would definitely discourage that person. Just walk them through their issue and say that you were very glad to help. And viola! You have earned one potential client along with a ten of his or her friends who might here about how you helped them!

Getting Your Fans and Followers to Share Visual Content

By

Are you working your brand to the best of your ability? If you look at it honestly and the answer is "no," it is time that you do something to change that situation. There are many different approaches that you can take but involving your fans and followers is one extremely important way that you can spread your visual content around effectively.

The many ways to enhance your content with visual images

You may have written the most wonderful, intuitive, exciting, valuable content that ever existed; however, if you don't enhance that content with visual images (at least sometimes), you may be doing yourself and your brand a tremendous disservice.

One really great way to accomplish that is by asking your fans and followers to share graphic images with you through your shared social media groups that you have in common. It is critical to your professional success that you involve your online connections in what you are doing for your brand. It serves many purposes, including making it easier to achieve success for your brand and making the other people feel that what they are contributing to your brand is valuable and essential. It is a "win-win" situation.

Asking your fans and followers to contribute to your content will add an extremely valuable layer to your business and it will create new opportunities that should definitely not be missed. It is certainly acceptable to give some of the power to your online connections and allow them to run with it. It will thrill them and it will help you a great deal. As creative and amazing as you undoubtedly are, it is often extremely valuable to have another perspective to share. Many people look at things in many different, creative ways and you are fortunate if you have the benefit of those other perspectives.
  • Empower your fans and followers: As difficult as it may be to surrender any of your power (when it comes to your business), it may be well worth it in the end. The one and only person who cannot brag about how wonderful you and your business are to other people is you. You have absolutely no credibility in that regard and you never will. Of course, everyone else has plenty of credibility and there is absolutely nothing wrong with your leveraging that credibility as much as you can. Your fans and followers can write about your brand and they can use visual content to get their point across. The graphic element is often more effective than words, depending on who is reading the content. They certainly will not let you down. You never truly know how far (in a positive direction) your ambassadors can take it. Just sit back and let it happen!

  • It is a natural human quality to want to tell other people about something that makes you feel good: The happier it makes you, the more you want to share it with people whom you know, love, and trust. It is just a natural state of affairs. Your fans and followers will no doubt be more than willing to take photos of something that you can get involved with and that will enhance your content. The visual aspect of what they are sharing has the potential to touch other people in an extremely emotional way and you may be surprised at the results that you achieve. The good news, of course, is that it is so easy to do that in this day and age of advanced technology. One push of a button and it is in the hands of anyone and everyone whom you want to have it. Having your content paired with graphic images will make it so much more appealing than sharing plain old content.

  • Listen to your fans and followers: It is a really great idea to ask your fans and followers what they like and what they want. That goes with the marketing concept of "WIIFM" (What's In It For Me?). In other words, you need to be able to listen to your fans and followers, figure out what they need and what makes them happy, and solve their problems for them (every time, if possible). When they tell you what they need, give it to them if it is in their power. If you can start to think (on a consistent basis) of the words and graphics as one element that must function together, your content will be extremely effective and it will yield the results that you are looking for.
Conclusion

Your fans and followers are essential to your professional success. Getting them to contribute to your content is extremely smart and, if done correctly, can be very effective. Your content will go extremely far if you share valuable information and if you make it as appealing as possible to other people. That includes words and graphic images, which will enhance the words. It will be extremely beneficial to your business because humans love images and your fans and followers will help you to share the best, most exciting images around. Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. Test it out and you will see that it is true.

Small Businesses Need Social Media Marketing Too

By

In this technological era, consumers conduct online searches and take consideration of the opinion of family and friends before finally ordering any goods online. It implies that small businesses can benefit a lot by making their presence felt through the most important social media platforms. In fact, it's already high time that owners of small businesses started exploiting social media to approach their prospective buyers.

Quality supersedes quantity

You need not necessarily spend too much time to keep your buyers updated about your product and services. However, it is important to maintain regular contact with them. If you are wondering what to post at what time, just remember that quality supersedes quantity.
You would know that buyers patronize small business for value. You should be very transparent. Shape an online niche for yourself and keep offering something to your clients, prompting them to keep coming back to you. Remember, relationships build business.

Focus on community

Experts have demonstrated that marketing through social media helps widening your reach by connecting you to more prospects and creating more admirers. Don't think that social media is the same as usual advertising, where you send messages using different media in anticipation of receiving response from viewers. It is far more interactive, focusing on society or a selected group of people.

Social media offers an opportunity for small businesses to straightway communicate to their clients and transform those clients to an effective sales force. Communication is always two way street. It is imperative that you respond to those who communicate to you this way. Keep your clients engaged with the help of interesting and educative blogs concerning your product or services! Keeping your online following engaged is vital for your success.

Think about advertising

Of course, social media needs you to invest some of your time, but if you are really looking for effective results from it, you should invest some funds too. Spare some funds to make your website friendlier to search engines. This is best done by incorporating the appropriate keywords in your website. Budget permitting, you should consider hiring the services of a professional for search engine optimization.

Likewise, you may also intensify your message on social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. These networks allow you to create and post highly effective and targeted ads. Once you identify your audience, you can simply share offers, sponsor posts, increase the number of your followers, thus driving additional traffic to your site.

Replicate what worked

If the results of exploiting social media prove successful, you should continue with the same. If for any reason, something fails to bring in positive results, try something different. For instance, an ad that you included in Facebook may not work. It doesn't mean that this strategy is ineffective. Perhaps, you need to redefine your targeted audience or revise the amount invested in your first attempt.

Many small businesses can employ social media as a successful marketing tool. Its unique feature is that it can considerably enhance the visibility of your business, widen your customer base, while retaining your existing clients. So, make a beginning and you won't regret!

Social Media Marketing Tips for More Customers

By

Evaluate Your Social Media Marketing Strategies
According to a survey, 68% of marketers assess the efficiency of social media marketing. To do the same, create landing pages that cater to different campaigns and carry out an A/B testing to know which of the landing pages work well for various forms of social media.

Don't Focus on Facebook Marketing Alone
Most marketers say that they are not too happy with the results of their Facebook marketing. They feel that their Facebook efforts work better with large-scale businesses. About 52% of the businesses that have more than 1,000 employees felt that Facebook marketing was helping them meet their goal,s but merely 34% of small-scale businesses felt that their efforts were worthwhile.

Go Mobile

Nowadays, more individuals are making use of mobile devices. As per Pew Research Internet Project, 57% of people in the US own a smart phone while 43% have a tablet. Marketing authorities are going with this trend, as shown by a recent marketing report. Among the marketers surveyed, 42% stated that their blogs have been optimized for the benefit of mobile readers. Though this may only be a small number, it has gone up to 15% since 2013.

A different market study reveals the following:

  • The typical age of a first-time cell phone user is 13 years old.
  •
  • Browsing the web using mobile devices has grown 8 times more than way back in the 1990s and 2000s.
  •
  • Nowadays, half of the regular web users worldwide use their mobile devices as the main way of going online.
  •
  • Searches with the help of mobile devices make up ¼ of all known searches.
  •
  • Among those who own tablets, 72% make online purchases every week.
From the abovementioned, online users can learn that mobile browsing is fast increasing. For this reason, it would be best to aim for a mobile optimized blog.

Grow a Fan Base

According to the report, 92% of marketers believe that the greatest advantage of social media marketing is the increase of their company's exposure. They say that they have won more followers which have become loyal fans. Based on this, others can change the way they interact with their followers. Since they are loyal to your products/ services, they should be treated as such. You should regularly connect with them and post snippets that they are interested in.

Use At Least Three Social Networks

Most marketers promote their products/services on 3 or more social networks such as Facebook, Google + and Twitter. However, there are still a lot of available networks. If you sell things that look interesting to crafters, it is beneficial to engage on Pinterest, since its user base consists of women.

Plan in Advance

Among marketers, 70% say that they post content on social media once or more daily.

To be able to maintain this kind of pace, marketers should know how to plan in advance. They must come up with an idea for the coming month or quarter. They should write content earlier and schedule posts on social media in advance.
Your social media marketing campaign need an expert. Our company can help you with that, as well as with your mobile website design, so come and visit our website today.

By

Now no need of any stage to showcase or present your talent or thoughts. Now you have an additional ID card that allows you to tell what you are. Now, no need of an utmost necessity of visiting a TV channel or police station to get justice for you.

Somebody may have understood what they are reading about and others may have been thinking. Anyway, now we are directly stepping into the matter that is your favorite and everybody's favorite social media. Let's know how social media is an additional identity card for every account holder. You may have a guess, though you should know many interesting things in the wonderful social media world. What are those things? Let's see.

Simple Definition of Social Media

Social media is an online community where one can share his thoughts with others as well as like and comment on other thoughts.

Informative Social Media History

Are you dreaming of becoming popular? You may think about the need of doing something innovative to become popular. That is not important as you think. The best example for this is a social media giant, Facebook. Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg did not do a completely new thing, but just follow the ideas of MySpace.

MySpace was aimed at the same audience and it initially managed to generate a huge interest. But, it was run like a professional business and there was no direction up to market feedback. But, Mark Zuckerberg allowed Facebook to create a market for itself.

Get Recognized for Your Achievement

However, the previous generation achievers who were without the internet would have to put a special effort to get a prominence for their achievement. But, the current generation achievers no need to worry too much about receiving the recognition and gratification for their achievement. The introduction of online social networking has paved their path of getting recognized.

Today, in the social media world, people have a plenty of ways to effectively showcase their achievements as well as what they do and what they care about. For achievers, social networking sites are a platform to reach greater heights by getting in touch with who they need to accomplish their goals. Whereas, for common people, who desire to become who they follow, social networking sites are a platform to build an identity or to form a stepping stone to build an identity.

The social networking sites have changed the way we build our identities and how we showcase ourselves to the society through digital mediums.

If someone wants to know who you are, such as your residential address, marital status and date of birth, he can get that at your different social networking profiles like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. It is somewhere useful for both information seeker and profile owner, but not in all cases.

Social networking sites are no longer just a powerful platform to build an identity for people, moreover, businesses across the world of all categories and sizes are leveraging social media to acquire and engage customers as well as to build a brand.

Social Media Access Easier Than Ever

The mobile technology, particularly mobile applications, have made access to social media easier than ever. Here, one-to-one are deeply co-related. As the leading social networking companies like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn offer easy-to-use Android, BlackBerry, Windows and iPhone applications for their users, users can easily interact with their loved ones as well as build their identity. We can say mobile applications are also an additional identity for every user and business who effectively makes use of that. A Newbie's Guide to Hashtags on Social Media

By

Tips, Explanations and Examples on How to use Hashtags for your Business
If you are new to social media you may wondering what hashtags are about. We see them everywhere - Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest and even Tumblr.

But what are they supposed to do? Why do they seem so random? Who is supposed to use them?
It's no wonder this all can seem very confusing!
That's why I've put together some tips to help you understand what the heck hashtags are and how to use them strategically in your business.

What are #Hashtags

Basically hashtags help people find stuff and share stuff. They are like an organizational tool for social media. They are a way to make it easier for people to find posts on a given topic as long as those posts use the same hashtag that is being searched for.
Hashtags are where given words are prefaced with the keyboard pound hashtag sign: #. One or more words can be used if the hashtag and keyword(s) have no spaces in between them. Once added to a social media post, the hashtag phrase becomes searchable and clickable.

For an example M&Ms just unleashed a new Pumpkin Spice flavored candy for Fall. Starbucks is also promoting their Pumpkin Spice latte. If you go into Twitter and types hashtag PumkinSpice in the search feature, it will pull up a list of these and other Pumpkin Spice related posts.

Why Use #Hashtags

When done properly and strategically, hashtags are a great way to gain more exposure for your business. Here are a few examples how:
  • Knowing popular hashtags for your industry and adding them to your posts can help you get traffic to your blog or website.
  • Searching hashtags helps you do research on topics, spy on your competition, and discover great content.
  • Adding hashtags can help brand yourself, your business, your products, and gain you recognition.
  • Promoting specific hashtags for a live event can gain community amongst your attendees and followers.
And some people use hashtags just for fun or to make a point. My favourite is #ChocolateIsSacred and have used it more than once!
Read more below about strategic ways to use hashtags in your business.

When Hashtags Were First Created

Twitter created the #hashtag feature on June 1, 2009. All Twitter hashtags (words with the # sign in front of them) became hyperlinks to discover more tweets pertaining to that subject.
Other social networks soon followed such as Facebook in 2013, Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr, and Instagram. Some networks like Google+ and Instagram have embraced hashtags with a fury where Facebook still lags at bringing this feature into mainstream usage.
In fact, not long ago I conducted a very informal survey about the use of hashtags on Facebook and many said they had no idea what they were, others thought they were spammy and cluttered up their newsfeed and most all never clicked on them. Indeed, the only people who were using hashtags were either marketers or social media managers!

But that doesn't mean they shouldn't be used... as you'll see there are plenty of reasons to incorporate them into your social media strategy.

Rules for Hashtag Use

Different platforms have different official and "unwritten" rules about using hashtags. Here's a few to be aware of:
  • Sentence case doesn't matter, but you can use it to improve readability like: #SecretStarbucksMenu.
  • You can't use special characters such as dashes, asterisks etc.
  • Do not get spammy. Three or less hashtags is perfect. Use too many and it can be considered hashtag spam.
  • Avoid having your Twitter or Instagram posts automatically send to Facebook when you tend to use a lot of hashtags. This is a real turn off for those on Facebook.
  • Research a hashtag before using it. An existing hashtag may be used for something else that you don't want to be associated with or draw attention to.
15 Strategic Examples On Using Hashtags in Your Business
Just like knowing the best keywords of your industry and optimizing your website content to include them in order to be found in search engines, hashtags can also be used to help you get found in social media.

It's important to create Hashtags for:

  1. Events you are holding. For example the Pacific National Exposition in Vancouver just ended for another year and throughout their Twitter campaign, they used #TheFair hashtag as seen in this example below.
  2.
  3. Tagging famous people or big companies who are mentioned in a post. For instance, hastag Elvis Presely results in hundreds of posts about the King of Rock and Roll.
  4.
  5. Posts related to trending topics. Author and Spiritual Teacher Wayne Dyer recently passed away. The hashtag RIP WayneDyer was created to tap into the social searches for news relating to his passing.
  6.
  7. Doing research. For example, if you were doing research on the latest news for our upcoming Canadian Federal election, do a Hashtag search using # CanadianElection2015to find several posts on the subject.
  8.
  9. Product promotion. Creating a special hashtag for your brand or product can help you gain a fan base. Creating a hashtag for your book or movie can help get traction and turn it into a trending topic.
  10.
  11. Humour. People also use hashtags as a way to share funny stuff with others and have a good laugh. Here's a hashtag used by late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon describing his friend's car and going on a road trip with him.
  12.
  13. Popular Industry Topics. If you see a post on a popular industry topic, by adding that same hashtag to a post you create will help you be discovered by others looking for content on that hashtag.
  14.
  15. Campaigns.Lots of people "monitor" certain hashtags. So using a hashtag consistently can help you gain a following. For example Nike held a series of promotions using the #nikezoom hashtag.
  16.
  17. Live Chats. Chats offer businesses the ability to connect to their customers, extend their reach and awareness. If you have a live chat on a certain topic, creating a hashtag can help you attract people to attend. For Example #BeTheOne is a monthly chat about inspiring people to make a difference through personal leadership that infuses integrity, dignity and character.
  18.
  19. Tap into Trending topics. Including a trending hashtag in your post can increase the overall reach. Ritetag is a great tool to help identify trending hashtags to use. It allows you to search 11 million hashtags to see what's hot or not, has a long life, is overused, and underused. That way you can select the best hashtags to reach your audience.
  20.
  21. Company or Personal Name. Gain recognition by creating a company tag like #Apple and #stephenking.
  22.
  23. Quotes. If you share quotes, hashtags will help you be found. Some top ones to use are #motivationalquotes #inspirationalquotes and #quotes. Look at the use of hashtags in one of our recent Twitter posts. Every topic relating to the quote has its own hashtag.
  24.
  25. Recurring post themes. For example you may post a #photooftheday, #followfriday or #throwbackthursday for daily or weekly recurring posts. We use #eTip as a daily theme where we share tips on various subjects entrepreneurs utilize in their business.
  26.
  27. Gaining blog readers. Using a hashtag on Pinterest pins can drive readers back to your website or blog. When someone clicks on a hashtag of yours most of the results that are shown on Pinterest link back to related blog content. Note that these results are somewhat different than what you would find in Twitter. Where Twitter displays results in chronological order, Pinterest displays in popularity.
  28.
  29. Research your competitors. Follow hashtags your competitors use to do market research and keep up on their latest news.
Hashtags are a lot of fun once you get the hang of it you'll be hashtagging with the best of them.

Make a point to create and use hashtags for your social media and don't be afraid to create your own unique ones like what we did with #SocialBlast and #eTip (even though others now use it too and that's OK!)
It's a great way to tap into a base of hot prospects interested in what you have to share. Jump in, Try Hashtags Today!
What's your take on using hashtags? Do you use them in your business social media marketing? As a user, do you find them useful or spammy?

5 Ideas To Help You Use Solo Ads To Drive Traffic To Your Lead Magnet

By

So, you have set up your initial sales funnel and everything has been tested and it all works but now you need to inform people of it and get them to take advantage of your kind offer - Solo Ads are a way of making this happen. A solo ad is a form of advertising that occurs when you buy a one-time spot on someone else's mailing list.
So, the vendor agrees to send your message out to their subscribers and you get traffic to your offer as a result or so you hope.

Here are 5 ideas to consider to get a successful solo ad campaign.

1. Know Your Niche

You need to fully understand what kind of people you want to get in front of. There is no point buying a spot on s newsletter in the health niche when you are selling chocolate. Hopefully, the vendor would not take your order anyway.

However, it does not mean you need to stick completely to your own industry alone as your people may be found in another industry as well. So, get clear on the interests of the people you are trying to attract and find solo ad providers in those industries.

2. Get recommendations

Before choosing to work with a particular vendor or solo ad provider, get a few references from other people. The most popular vendors will probably have easy-to-find reviews if you do a Google search and you can join in on Facebook groups that deal with solo-ads and see the testimonials being given by happy or unhappy customers before you make a commitment to purchase.

3. Arrange a conversation

Try not to buy a solo ad without making contact with the vendor - Via Skype or actually speak to them on the phone.

4. Get good at writing Ad Copy

Some vendors will create the advertising copy for you so that you do not have to and sometimes that works because they know their list but how can you test that? Choose instead to do your own writing and ask for two versions of your copy to be sent to the list, if possible. Not every vendor will agree to this but it will help you understand what is working and what is not.

5. Start Low And Then Grow

Though it is tempting to throw your money at a solo ad provider so that you can build your list really quickly, do not do that.
Instead, spread your money over a few different providers and see how they perform before asking for a few more clicks from a certain provider that seemed to get good results for you. Remember this is your money so be wise about how you spend it.

A Checklist for Getting Organic Traffic to Your Website or Blog

By

This article is intended to provide you the reader with a checklist of ideas that can help you receive more organic traffic to your website.

Good SEO optimization is not enough if you are just starting out as a creator wanting to get your content found on the Internet. You either have to pay for the traffic by promoting it through Facebook or Google+ or other pay for view services, or you have to manually and organically promote your content yourself, which takes a considerable amount of work when just starting out.

If you do choose to grow your views by organic manual effort, the checklist of ideas listed below should be useful to you.

  • Build followers on social media platforms like Google+, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook with link backs to your website in your profiles and in each post or item you upload to those sites. You may not get a lot of traffic from this, but some views should trickle back to your site.

  • If you can, write an E-Book and get it published on Amazon/Kindle then build an "Author Central" profile for yourself on Amazon with link backs to your website. Once done, create additional author profiles on book review sites such as "GoodReads".

  • If you are selling products on your website, be sure to feature them on places like Google+, Pinterest and your Facebook business page which you should also set up.

  • Frequently update your website with additional pages and content - you should be doing this at least once a week. This lets search engines know your site is alive and improving which does get you a bit higher in the rankings.

  • Promote, promote and promote the content you create around the Internet - such as your articles and videos. Get out there to start getting the link backs to your website. The more activity such as this you have with external sites referencing yours over time, the higher your search engine rankings will be and the more traffic you will receive.

  • Don't always promote in the same place. Be looking for additional places to showcase your content. You want wide reach wide audiences for what you create without antagonizing the same groups of people by promoting yourself and your business too frequently in the same space all the time.

  • Find Internet business communities your content relates to and target them. Over time, these communities and their members will begin to look at your site as a source point for information and your traffic will grow. Remember, the Internet is no longer about selling people. It is about sharing information with people and sales have become a by product of the information sharing activities.

  • Which brings me to this next related point: A good strategy if you have things to sell is to create "how to use them" videos or articles that you can share as opposed to pushing a sales pitch at them wherever possible. Let the sales come organically as an output to advice given as opposed to pushing for them.

  • People like to follow other people on journeys. So if what you are doing out there is some form of journey, document it and share it - it will increase your traffic.

  • Learn how to build good "Squeeze Pages/Landing Pages" where you can engage people who visit and capture information such as their e-mail addresses. This gives you more ways in which to contact them (such as through e-mail marketing) and keeps you engaged with them.

  • If you are writing articles, get them on your website and also get them onto article distribution sites as well. You will get some trickle through traffic from this.

  • Post comments on other people's articles on high value sites as well. You can get some back channel traffic from this activity as well if you are entering your website information along with your postings. Be careful with this strategy though, make sure you are only giving link back information on quality sites that Google would like or their search engine might punish you in their ratings just by association.
  •
The ideas above should help you to organically build traffic over time to your site. It is a slower paced growth than paid promotion is, but the longer you work at it, the more your follower base will grow and the better you will do. Accelerating your traffic growth requires spending money and I'll soon be creating an article to assist you in getting a good bang for your buck if you chose to take the paid promotion route instead or as well.

Good luck in building your traffic to your site.

Should You Buy Website Traffic?

By

Many people are crazy about the number of visitors that their site gets. For the majority of businesses, web traffic is nothing but a number - it is the amount of people visiting the site. Many companies believe that if they get more people visit their site, their chances of getting better sales are higher. Which makes complete sense because you get to use your website to convert your visitors through videos, FAQ's and even other relevant information that can be posted on the site.

The question is, should you buy website traffic? Won't this be a violation of most search engines policies? Can you even expect results these days when buying traffic? Remember, traffic that doesn't convert visitors into customers are completely useless. This is probably one of the reasons why not all companies have considered using this method to market their business.

However, buying website traffic isn't as bad as it looks like - and all it takes is a reliable provider who will provide your site with traffic that you need. This means that if you're planning on buying visitors, you should find someone who can give you targeted traffic, to increase the chances of getting more people interested in your website, business, products and/or services in general.

Here are some of the things that you need to do to ensure that you found the right company which provides web traffic:

Quality

You need high-quality traffic - this means real people, not by those made up by bots. This is an important factor for you to check whenever you buy website traffic. Before you buy website traffic, you should be assured that what you'll get are human visitors, because as mentioned earlier, traffic is nothing when you don't get to convert. You can track the numbers, but all of these are useless for people don't buy from you.

Rates

Compare rates online. Check with other providers and choose one that meets your budget.

Performance

Lastly, when you buy website traffic, track your site's performance. You can even send a broadcast campaign or even see how much of those web visitors are converted into paying customers. If you are getting significant results, congratulations! If not, you probably should start looking for another provider, or, you might be targeting the wrong market.

Usually, the results and statistics would speak for themselves. All you have to do is analyze and see which sources and even Traffic type work well for your business.

The One Thing That Everyone Asks About Internet Marketing

By

Internet marketing consists of anything you do to earn money online. Regardless of whether you're selling you own products or services online or earning commissions by promoting other people's products you need to use internet marketing. And the one thing that everybody always asks is:
"How does internet marketing work?"
Internet marketing works when you have the correct mix of strategies to reach your potential customers. There is not a set formula that will work for every person, product or service. Let's take a look at the top 5 internet marketing strategies.

1.Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of managing the content on your website so that it appears in the search engine results. Your content needs to contain the keywords that people are going to search for when looking online for the type of products or services that you offer. Other SEO strategies include things like obtaining backlinks from other websites, superior website layout, and consistently updating your website with top quality content.

2. Email Marketing

Email marketing attracts new prospects, maintains and develops relationships with current ones and up-sells or cross-sells your products and services. To build up your database of email addresses, you need to offer something of value to your prospects in return for their email address. This could be an eBook, newsletter, report or video course. You will need efficient email marketing software, like an autoresponder, because as your database grows, you will not be able to do it manually.

3. Social Media Marketing

Social media provides an incredible opportunity to connect with your target audience, increase your exposure, generate leads and bring in sales. Social media websites bring website traffic directly to your website, and when people check out and share your material it will register with the search engines and improve your search engine optimization.

4. Content Marketing

Content marketing is about gaining understanding, confidence and a relationship. It is the process of communicating with your customers and leads without the need of the hard sell. The foundation of content marketing is that as you deliver reliable and valuable information to potential buyers, they will inevitably become loyal and regular customers.

5. Affiliate Marketing

Businesses and product owners like affiliate marketing because they get their affiliates to do their marketing for them. If an affiliate makes a sale, the product owner will pay them a commission. But if the affiliate sells nothing, the product owner pays nothing. Both for the product owner and the affiliate can benefit from this internet marketing strategy and when done correctly, it can be extremely profitable for both parties.

Success in business is mostly about marketing, especially online. Great marketing can sell an average product but poor marketing cannot sell a great product. Internet Business Course

By

This might seem simple at first and you could begin by setting up a website with a bunch of products that you have for sale, but the truth is that there is much more to this than that. You need to be able to generate traffic that will allow you to start getting conversions from visitor into paying customers. This is the most basic and important aspect of starting and online business and earning enough income from it in order to turn it into your full time job.

There are two ways in which you can do this. You could take the long road towards success with an internet business, or take the short road. The long road means that you will learn by trial and error. You will go online, setup your store, try to get people to buy from you and learn by making a large number of mistakes that will help you become a skilled internet business person. This is the way that most people have to do things and this can usually mean that they will spend many months and even years trying different things before they start to be able to see any results.

If you want to be able to start earning money much faster and avoid all of the bumps on the road that come with trial and error, you can decide to get someone who can mentor you through the process of making your internet business grow. A good internet business course can make a world of difference when you are trying to get the best results from your internet business efforts. When you use a course that has been created by someone who already went through the learning process, you will be able to navigate a much shorter road and you will basically have a map that will allow you to know when a bum on the road is near you. This is going to completely get rid of the process of trial and error and you will get to the stage that allows you to start earning profits.

An internet business course will allow you to work hard but most importantly, it will allow you to work smart. That is the main and most important thing that you always need to keep in mind when you decide to being your journey with an internet business.
When you work smart and you dedicate yourself to making your business grow, you will see amazing results and that is the beauty of getting a head start with the use of an internet business course. It might require an initial investment, but it will be worth it when you are able to save yourself months and years of a learning process that can be extremely draining and difficult. The road of trial and error will make most people quite before they reach their goals and you can avoid this when you use the right kind of information in order to get started.

What can you achieve with small business digital marketing?
The reality is that digital marketing is a constantly changing landscape. If you really want to succeed with it and generate great results for your business then you definitely need to know what you are doing. Getting started with small business digital marketing
The first thing to get clear on is that you need a definite plan. Diving straight into the field without thinking about what you want to achieve, and how you are going to achieve it, is simply setting yourself up for failure. Failing to plan is probably the number one reason why most small businesses fail with this inception.

It is very important to have a clear and detailed strategy. You should set out specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound marketing objectives and targets, and you should ensure that you think carefully about the digital marketing channels you are going to use to get your message out there.

It is also important to remember that digital marketing isn't an instant solution. Achieving effective results requires consistent action, on-going testing and regular reviewing of progress.

Many small business lack in-house expertise and thus choose to seek the help of a digital marketing agency. This is often a smart decision because it brings much-needed expertise to the table. A digital marketing implemented by professionals is much more likely to generate great results than a campaign implemented by someone who is relying in trial and error. In addition, getting external help with small business digital marketing frees the company to concentrate on running their business, without worrying about their digital campaigns.

How To Get Traffic To Your Affiliate Marketing Website

By

Now that you have your affiliate website built and ready to go live, the one thing you need to be asking yourself is: How am I going to drive traffic to it? So how do you get traffic to come and visit? What works and what doesn't work? Take a look at these ways of getting viewers to your site.

You could just get a large number of people to come to your site by buying cheap generic traffic from another website. However, there is a problem with this method. You have no idea what their real interests are, so it is most likely that you will only receive one or two clicks on your links per ten thousand visitors. This is because these generic visitors are not qualified. They have not indicated an interest in what your site is about. Ultimately what happens, for example, is that someone who was looking to buy a professional development book gets taken to your camping equipment affiliate site. They will immediately click away because you are not offering anything that interests them

What you really want to come to your website is a considerable amount of qualified traffic. The term 'qualified" means that they have done something to show interest in what your site has to offer. For example, this might be someone who clicks on an ad that says 'Buy a Tent'. This would show their interest in camping. You will be on the right track if you think of 'qualifying' your traffic as a process where you filter out the people who are not interested in your site, before they get to your site.

Quality traffic is key to help keep your conversion rates high if the only people who land on your site are actually interested in what you have to offer to start with. You will want to keep looking good, specifically if you will be showing your conversion rates to other marketers and prospective clients.

The main reason you want to qualify your traffic, is because if you are paying for a traffic method, you do not want to drive people who are not interested in your site to begin with. You only want to be paying for traffic that is interested in your site. The more interested they are the better.

Another question you might be asking yourself is: How much should I pay? This all depends on how much you will make when someone clicks on one of your affiliate links and makes a purchase. You should be tracking your website statistics so you know on average, one out of every one hundred visitors to your site will actually buy something. If you will earn a $10 commission, then you know that the maximum you should be spending on traffic should be $10 for every 100 visitors. If you are able to get 1000 qualified visitors for $10, then on average you will spend $10 and turnover $100, leaving you $90 profit.

Now you have a better idea of how to get traffic to your affiliate site. A great deal depends on your conversion rate and the amount of commission you make on each sale. It is possible to generate free traffic to your site, but you will end up paying with your time instead of money. Paid traffic is far more effective, and as long as you track your stats, you can stay within any budget.

Backlinking With SocialAdr

By

Any good online marketer, entrepreneur or webmaster knows that back links are a vital part of your website's online presence.
Without a good number of quality back-links, you'll never make it to the top of a highly competitive market which means your organic search traffic will lag, which means your sales won't be as high as you hoped.

In other words, back links are an important piece of the online success puzzle. It took me awhile to come to terms with this fact, but back links are vital to getting your content seen.

In this SocialAdr review, I will share with you the two main tools that I have been testing in my back linking strategy:
SocialAdr and Social Monkey. (wrong spelling on purpose)
Also, at the end, I'll reveal a new technology that is on the market that can make your back linking 100 times more effective in getting you more traffic in a shorter period of time.

Social Bookmarking Tools as a Backlink Strategy

In order to successfully build your backlinks in a highly competitive industry (or if you're targeting highly competitive keywords), you have to get smart about your strategy. That means using the best back-link building tools available to you.
Some of these tools that you might have heard of are called social bookmarking tools, which are designed to bookmark your posts on hundreds and thousands of sites.

Then, when people engage with your posts (i.e. sharing, bookmarking, etc.) on Digg, StumbleUpon and other social bookmarking sites, you get a ton of backlinks.
Two of the most popular social bookmarking tools for link-building that I've been testing are Social- ADR and Social Monkey.
While similar in name and function, the two tools are very different. Let's take a look at both to see which is better for your purposes:

Is It Worth It?

Signing up for Social ADR is free, but you will have to add some login details in order to utilize this social bookmarking tool. Once you are in, then you have access to 24 social bookmarking sites (expect to spend a bit of time here with the login details).

Other users can then bookmark your URL giving you instant backlinks. After the lengthy signup period, it only takes about a minute to do the rest of the work-then, simply leave it up to the way the tool is designed to work.

Of course, as with anything that takes time to set up, you can pay a nominal fee and have SocialAdr set everything up for you, so if you're super-busy, you might want to go that route. Otherwise, SocialAdr is a completely free tool. There are, however, paying options that make it easier for you to get bookmarks.

This is because in order for your bookmark to be shared by others, you have to have enough credits in your SocialAdr account.

You can get free credits by sharing other people's bookmarks (which is why this works, since other people are sharing your book marks to get theirs shared as well), or you can directly purchase the credits if you don't want to participate with any of that hassle.

There is also an option for a paid plan where you get unlimited benefits and shares. If you are choosing the free option, you can only share five bookmarks each day in order to prevent back-link spamming
(this is a good thing and protects you since back-link spamming gets you Google penalties).

Unfortunately, this means you can only earn five credits per day, so your link can only be bookmarked five times per day max (unless you have a store of credits, buy them or sign up for a paid account).
After your URL is shared around 25 times, it is transferred to the archives for permanent linking. Whether you choose to get here free or by paying is up to you, but if you are running an enormous website or company, you might want to consider the paid option unless you can get some tech-savvy intern to take over the SocialAdr account.

All in all, I found that this SocialAdr is easy to use but can be time consuming and expensive if you're doing the paid version.
The free version is fine if you have the time, but to be truthful, you're just not going to get the same results compared to the paid packages the offer.

How Does Social Monkey Compare

So, rather than tell you what's the same about Social Monkey vs SocialAdr, here's what's different. Not only is Social Monkey a newer tool, it also doesn't make you add all of your login details at each of the social bookmarking sites as they use mainly Web 2.0 sites for back-links.

This means it takes less set up time on your end while getting the same job accomplished.

Also, in regards to price, like SocialAdr, you also have a free version and paid version. The upshot of the paid version with Social Monkey is that you can chose to pay yearly as opposed to monthly. Much easier on the pockets, in my opinion.

Furthermore, some people prefer Social Monkey because the results you get in your backlinks are more specific for what you are doing. In other words, with Social Monkey, you get exactly what you pay for-X amount of dollars will gain you X amount of backlinks as soon as you click your mouse.

These types of instantaneous and guaranteed results go a long way with website owners that are trying to get fast, real results which are measurable.

Unfortunately, this does come with one big drawback in that the speed and guarantee of Social Monkey means you are getting lower quality backlinks that you would with Social ADR.
This means they won't be as powerful a boost to your website's rankings because they are coming from lower PageRank websites.

Which Should You Choose?

So, the choice is up to you: slower, quality backlinks with SocialAdr or faster, lower-quality backlinks with Social Monkey.
